Group Aesthetics and Critical Theory
The current research group 'Aesthetics and Critical Theory' was originally a line of research of the group 'Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art', created in 1991, and extinct in 2016.
Although this group was formally constituted in 2018, it is composed of researchers (and their guiding students) who have been working with the theme of the relationship between aesthetics and the Critical Theory of Society for many years (or decades, according to the case).
Its publications related to the group's theme, whose data are included in the participants' Lattes CVs, are a reference in the area, in Brazil and abroad. The group also has a network of collaborators abroad, in which this directory includes names of Portuguese and South American researchers.
